Admissions at Agape Behavioral Health
Taking the First Step Is the Hardest Part. We Make the Rest Easy
It takes courage to seek help. Whether you made this decision for yourself or for someone you love, reaching out for help is one of the most important and courageous decisions a person can ever make. At Agape Behavioral Health, we want the admissions process to be a new beginning filled with hope, not another hurdle to overcome.
Our admissions team is made up of highly compassionate and knowledgeable professionals who understand that when people reach out to us, it is usually during a time of great pain or uncertainty in their life. Here, you will encounter neither judgment nor pressure. Our comprehensive and straightforward admissions process was designed to treat each caller with dignity, respect, and genuine compassion. From your first conversation with us, you will be treated with the dignity, warmth, and the genuine care that defines everything we do at Agape.
Here is exactly what you can expect.
Reach Out
Each journey starts with a single conversation. When you contact Agape Behavioral Health, you will speak with a representative from our admissions team — an actual person who will listen to your concerns, answer your questions honestly, and provide information to help you determine if Agape Behavioral Health’s program is suitable for your needs or those of your loved one.
There is no obligation to commit when you call. This first conversation is just to educate you about the services we offer and allow you to express any concerns you may have. You can contact us by phone or by using our contact form on our website, whichever is most convenient for you. All inquiries are completely confidential.
01
Clinical Assessment
Once you decide to move forward, we will complete a comprehensive clinical assessment at no charge to you. The results of this assessment provide our clinical team with sufficient information to assess your mental health, identify any underlying issues that might affect treatment, identify specific treatment goals, and develop an individualized treatment plan tailored specifically to meet your unique needs.
Please note that the intent of this assessment is not an interrogation. It is only a conversation. Each clinician approaches this process with empathy and understanding. Recognizing that disclosing sensitive personal information requires trust, each disclosure is subject to the highest standards of confidentiality. The information collected during this assessment is used exclusively to build the most effective, individualized path forward to address your unique circumstances.
02
Verify Your Insurance
Understanding your financial options is an important part of the process, and we work hard to make it as straightforward as possible. Agape Behavioral Health works with most major private insurance companies, and our admissions team can contact your insurance provider to verify your benefits and provide you with a detailed description of your coverage before starting treatment.
If you aren’t sure about your insurance coverage, please don’t let that stop you from reaching out. Our staff handles this process daily and can quickly provide a definitive answer about your coverage. For those who do not have insurance or prefer to pay out-of-pocket, we can also discuss other available payment options.
03
Your Customized Treatment Plan
Once your insurance has been confirmed and your clinical assessment is completed, your multidisciplinary team of professionals will come together to create a treatment plan specifically tailored to your unique needs. The treatment plan will take into consideration your diagnosis, your past medical history, your lifestyle, and your goals, and will outline the level of care recommended, the therapy options that best fit your needs, and what each day will look like while you are receiving care at Agape.
Before beginning treatment, you will have an opportunity to review your treatment plan, ask questions, and offer your thoughts on how you would like to proceed with your recovery. After all, your recovery is about you, so your voice matters in shaping it.
04
Start Treatment
The goal of admission day at Agape is to be as peaceful and inviting as possible. A member of our staff will be waiting to greet you, explain how things work at Agape, introduce you to the people who will support your care, and help you get settled as quickly and comfortably as possible. We know that admission days may bring a range of emotions, such as relief, anxiety, hope, and uncertainty, and we are ready to address all of those feelings with kindness and compassion.
After today, you will not be going through this journey alone. You will have a team of people working to help you heal, a group of peers who understand exactly what you are going through, and a comprehensive treatment program created especially for your long-term wellness.
